how it will work

Every quarter, we’ll assign a theme around coffee and invite Artists that are employed within the coffee industry to submit digital artwork that expresses their interpretation of the theme via email the entry form below.

If selected your artwork will be placed on a t-shirt and possibly other merchandise including posters, tote bag, notebooks and more.

Submissions will be open to entrants all over the world but you must be employed within the coffee industry (anywhere in the supply chain) at the time of your submission and be able to verify your employment.

We are especially encouraging entrants from coffee farms and mills from all over the world but welcome entrants from every part of the industry.

If you work on a coffee farm or mill and are unable to submit a digital version of your work, please send a photo of your artwork instead. If it wins we will work with you to create a version of it that can be interpreted onto a t-shirt and whatever merchandise goes out to the global community!

We will be using the money raised from this endeavour to fund MAP IT FORWARD initiatives included airfares, travel arrangements and scholarships to future MAP IT FORWARD events for attendees that may not have the opportunity to otherwise attend.

The theme for our first competition is ‘The future of coffee is…’.

We’ll be looking for submissions that think outside of the box, stimulate conversation (which is not the same thing as controversial) while also be visually appealing.

You will also be required to submit a brief explanation of your submission in whatever language you’d like. It’s 2019, we’ll find a way to have it translated 😉.
